Objective
Candidates who wish to pursue higher education in
Law leading to post graduate degree can opt for this
course. The PG degree in law is a mandatory
qualification for the candidates opting for teaching
in law colleges and universities. In the global
market economy there is a great need of law experts
as law officers, company secretaries corporate
lawyers etc,. LL.M degree holders are the most
sought after for these posts.

Degree in Law with minimum 55% marks .

Course
1. B.A LL.B 5 year integrated Degree Course (240
seats)
Objective
A student
after his pre-university (10+2) education can opt
for legal education just as some others would opt
for medical, Engineering and other professional
education .
>> Law attracts serious-minded students to enter the
field of legal education at a very early stage of
their educational career.
>> This course is being taught only by whole-time
day colleges or university departments recognized by
the Bar Council of India.
>> It provides for compulsory practical training for
students and also compulsory participation in moot
courts
Eligibility
The applicant
should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent
examination. Should have secured minimum 45% of
marks in case of general categories of applicants
and 40% marks in case of SC/ST applicants.
Maximum age for seeking admission to this course is
twenty year in case of General Category of
applicants and twenty two years in case of
applicants from SC/ST and other Backward
communities. Such age shall be counted on the 1st
July of academic year of the admission. Only high
school certificate will be considered for age proof
and no other documents will be taken into
consideration for age proof.
Applicants should satisfy themselves that they
fulfill the eligibility requirements in terms of
qualification and age. If the percentage of marks
secured by a candidate at the qualifying
examination, falls short by even a small fraction,
it shall not be rounded to the next whole number.

Eligibility
A student after passing the graduation examination
of this university or any Indian university
incorporated by the law for the time being in force
or any other examination recognized by the
university with at least 45% of marks in case of
general categories of applicants and 40% marks in
case of SC/ST applicants on the basis of merit shall
be eligible for admission to LL.B First Semester of
the 3-year Law Course.
Maximum age for seeking admission to this course is
thirty years in case of General Category of
applicants and thirty five years in case of
applicants from SC/ST and other Backward
communities. Such age shall be counted on the 1st
July of academic year of the admission. Only high

Internship –
Each student will have to complete minimum of 12
weeks internship for integrated three year course
during the entire period of studies, provided that
internship in any year cannot be for a continuous
period of more than 4 weeks. The student may do
their internship during winter and summer vacations.
Attendance
The student shall be required to put in a
minimum attendance of 66% in the lectures on each of
the subjects as also in the moot court session and
in practical in the courts.
Participation in Lok Adalat
As a part of training under internship,
participation in Lok Adalat proceedings is
compulsory.
Legal Awareness Programme
LL.B 3 years final students and BA. LL.B final year
students have to organize Legal awareness programme
at Block Level. The participation of the legal
Panchayat representative of the blocks is invited.
Issues concerning the working of Panchayats are
discussed and panchayat members are educated about
their duties and way of functioning.
Court Training:
Final year students of 3 years LL.B Course and
final year students of 5 year B.A. LL.B course have
to attend and observe the trial proceeding of 6
civil cases and 6 criminal cases in the court.
