We believe law is an instrument to solve human and social problems. It is the mission of Law College Dehradun, to educate the youth to become ethical, competent and compassionate, representatives of our diverse culture, capable of using law effectively and creatively in the service of society.

Our motto is to be an institution of excellence . The concept of excellence is an ever receding horizon the closer we go, the farther it moves from us. In the era of globalization we have to create competitive and efficient lawyers of   international standards. We are cognizant of the fact that the lawyers and law professionals are to be well versed in trans-national legal systems where a lawyer has to do global lawyering, he has to have the comprehensive knowledge of law, so that in the changed scenario a lawyer is able to interpret the law in keeping with its letter and spirit.

Therefore, it is our endeavor, not only to train students and equip them well to practice law, but also to transform them into creative problem-solvers capable of assisting in improving the legal system, to make for a better society. They will not only react to problems, but also anticipate them and be ready to devise innovative and responsible solutions to serve the needs of their clients and the community at large.
